This is our Gardner size "O" half scale gas engine built from castings. Its fuel is propane gas and it employs HotTube ignition.
Here are a pair of half scale Robinson patent engines. In the foreground is the famous "Chippy" engine first patented in 1890. In the background is the Number 4 Hot-Air motor of the late 1880's

Here is our version, at half scale, of the Robinson patent A 4 Hotair engine, built around the turn of the last century. It will run with the application of a small gas ring burner placed under the hot pot. The displacer piston employs the same style of regenerator as it's full size counterpart. it's bore and stroke are 2 1/4" by 1 1/2"
Now for a bit of vanity. Here am I with the just finished RLE Dragsaw which was built for the 1998 Tatton 1000 Engine Rally.
